Three valuable away points in Otavi

Air Masters FC again proved to strong for us on Saturday when we lost 2-1 in Grootfontein. The game however started well, with Hansi Beukes scoring from the spot after only 20 minutes into the game putting us in front. Masters goalkeeper brought Beukes down in the box when he was clear on goal. Instead of a red card the referee only however produced a yellow.

A defensive blunder in the 30th minute led to Air Masters equaliser. It was unfortunate at that moment, as it looked more like 2-0 at that time than 1-1. This is how it stayed till half time.

In the second half Wesley Ngazekarie missed an open goal, which could have turned the match in our favour. Air Masters started to attack strongly 10 minutes into the second half and Aupa Kamatjipose managed a brilliant save in a one on one situation keeping the score 1-1. But eventually Air Masters managed to break the central defense scoring the 2-1, which was the final score.

Although we lost the boys played well. Unfortunatly some referee discission were more than dubious.

Sunday's match against Cosmos FC almost got postponed due to a breakdown of our bus, but fortunatly we made it. The pitch was in a disaterous state and it was almost impossible to play a passing game. Suprisingly our boys did very well on this pitch and dominated the complete first half, without managing to score a single goal. We had 7 clear chances in the first half, which were all missed.

In the second half Cosmos FC started somewhat stronger, but Terry Ujamba and his defense were always on top of the situation and opened the match up from the back again. Eventually in the 75th minute Hansi Beukes managed to break the deadlock, scoring from inside the penalty box. At this stage a goal was more than overdue. 10 minutes later it was again Beukes that lobbed the Cosmos FC keeper from a similar position, putting us up by 2, which eventually was the final score.

The 3 points this weekend helped to climb to 3rd position on the log!
